Political Cartoons
Barack Obama Political Cartoon: This cartoon is saying that whatever Obama says, Mitt Romney turns it into something negative. Like in this picture for example, when Obama confronts Romney, Romney changes the last section of the bubble to read something negative about Americans.

Principal Frank Lay
Principal Frank Lay thought it was normal of him to ask his faculty to promote Christianity at all events. It wasn't a surprise then when he asked one of the athletic directors to say grace at a luncheon. The federal judge accused him of violating a court order of not promoting personal religious views. I believe that Lay did violate the first amendment of freedom of religion because by promoting Christianity, that meant casting all other views aside. I believe he should be punished for trying to run his school in a religious matter when it's a public school. I also believe that if he wanted to promote his religious views, he could of made a club that was acceptable, or he should have silently worshiped his God in his way.

National Convention Speeches
Conventional speeches have been given at every election year before election time to give the people of the United States an overview of each of the candidate's viewpoints on certain issues. The Republican party and the Democratic party have proven to be certain in their viewpoints and the candidates are sure of their beliefs. The National Conventions are held so the people are informed about the parties feelings on how to fix the United States' economy.
During the RNC, Mitt Romney expressed his views about how to fix the economy and how Obama was only going to make things worse. He referenced his family to make his speech and his ideas family-oriented. He also spoke about supporting women's rights, as well as equality for all. He included his spiritual background and spoke about his church and the community surrounding his church. He also reflected upon the economy and how free enterprise is the solution to fixing the United States. Romney expressed his views on how Obama managed the U.S. and how he will make it different and better.
At the DNC, Barack Obama spoke freely about his political views and his opinions on the U.S. economy. He started out by thanking his Vice President and jumped right into talking about solutions to fixing the economy. He spoke on how to strengthen the middle class by making everything just and fair. He also mentioned exporting more goods and stopping outsourcing of jobs. He talked about cutting oil imports in half , while being less dependent on foreign oil. Obama also plans on cutting taxes and lower tuition for college students. Obama ends with talking about the military and about putting people back to work to help the economy.
In conclusion, both parties mean to help the economy rise out of the deficiency it is suffering. Both candidates have their own means to the same end, but only the people can decide who will lead them. I believe both can be great leaders if given the chance, but my opinion is that Obama can fix this economic recession we are suffering now. With his knowledge of the economy and its problems, Obama will make the excellent leader to help the U.S. prosper and grow.

Bill of Rights Scenario- Eminent Domain
Mary and John have owned a second house in Florida for 10 years that has been vacant for about 5 years. They have it for when they want to vacation in Florida, but they haven't had a chance to use it. The government has been wanting to build a courthouse next to their property, but they need extra space. The extra space would require the government to tear down the fence surrounding the property and using part of the land. Mary and John don't want to sell part of their property, but the government plans to tear it down anyway and build the courthouse.
